Fine Artist: 

2023 Median Pay: $52,910 per year

Job Outlook:

Overall employment of craft and fine artists is projected to grow 3 percent from 2023 to 2033, about as fast as the average for all occupations.

About 4,900 openings for craft and fine artists are projected each year, on average, over the decade.  Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

What Craft and Fine Artists Do:

Craft and fine artists use a variety of materials and techniques to create original works of art for sale and exhibition. Craft artists create objects, such as pottery, glassware, and textiles, that are designed to be functional. Fine artists, including painters, sculptors, and illustrators, create pieces of art more for aesthetics than for function.

Ceramic Artists, Digital Artist, Fine-Art Painter, Illustrators, Photographer, Public Artist, Printmaker, Sculptor, etc.

Art Teacher:

2023 Median Pay: $65,220 per year

Job Outlook:

High school teachers teach academic lessons and various skills that students will need to attend college and enter the job market. At 缅北禁地, you will create a teaching portfolio along with getting teaching experience through practicums. 

缅北禁地 Fast Track: 

The Initial Program at the Advanced Level for Certification prepares candidates to teach in elementary grades (K-6), in secondary grades (7-12 in an area in which 缅北禁地 endorses individuals), and in special education grades (K-12). Secondary endorsement areas include the sciences, mathematics, social sciences, English, language arts, foreign languages, and art (K-12).

Through a series of coursework, practicum, and internship experiences, Nebraska teacher certification candidates may complete the program in four or five terms (Summer I, Fall, Spring, Summer II, and Fall II for elementary and special education students ONLY).

Thirty-seven credit hours of graduate coursework for secondary certification, 58 credit hours of graduate coursework for elementary, and 72 credit hours of graduate coursework for special education are required for Initial Certification. Additional coursework may be required in the content area for 7-12 certification. Students begin the program in the summer term only. Upon completion of the coursework, students may apply for licensure in the state of Nebraska.     

Art Directors:

2023 Median Pay: $106,500 per year

Job Outlook:

Employment of art directors is projected to grow 5 percent from 2023 to 2033, about as fast as the average for all occupations.

About 11,700 openings for art directors are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

What Art Directors Do:

Art directors are responsible for the visual style and images in magazines, newspapers, product packaging, and movie and television productions.

Set and Exhibition Designers:

2023 Median Pay: $59,490 per year

Job Outlook:

Employment of set and exhibit designers is projected to grow 5 percent from 2023 to 2033, about as fast as the average for all occupations.

About 2,400 openings for set and exhibit designers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

What Set and Exhibit Designers Do:

Set and exhibit designers develop visual and tactile spaces for entertainment productions or for a variety of displays.

Graphic Designer:

2023 Median Pay: $58,910 per year

Job Outlook:

Employment of graphic designers is projected to grow 2 percent from 2023 to 2033, slower than the average for all occupations.

Despite limited employment growth, about 21,100 openings for graphic designers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Most of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

What Graphic Designers Do:

Graphic designers create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers.
