Reading and Writing Teaching Endorsement
College of Education
Lincoln, Bellevue, Online
Teaching Endorsement
A reading and writing online program student is expected to complete the endorsement within seven years of beginning graduate study at Ãå±±½ûµØ. Credits taken in the program that were completed more than seven years before completion are reviewed by the Dean or Director of Curriculum and Instruction. The criteria for accepting or rejecting these credits as a part of the student’s program are always based on the relevance of the material at the time of review. If the course material is no longer relevant, the student must then retake the appropriate graduate course(s) as part of the endorsement requirements.
Upon completion of all required coursework for an endorsement, the student must complete the applicable paperwork required by the State of Nebraska Department of Education to add the reading and writing online program endorsement to his/her teaching certificate. Information is available on the web page of the Nebraska Department of Education about adding an endorsement to a teaching certificate.
From the moment our students register for classes to the day they graduate, they will be supported by our graduate education staff and faculty and be personally connected to their program director.
